Exciting news for Quest 2018! This year we are introducing, Learning By Doing.
This new component of Quest will consist of off-site sessions held on Friday, November 16, 2018. They will take place at York Region District School Board schools and/or Board sites. These sessions will provide the opportunity for attendees to experience how well-being is intentionally being addressed in schools and departments, with first hand and authentic learning.

These sessions have a strong connection to the conference theme, The Quest for Well-Being: Making Connections, Making Commitments. The learning will focus on the 5 Components of Well-Being: Equity and Inclusive Education, Safe and Accepting Schools and Workplaces, Healthy Schools and Workplaces, Positive Mental Health, Eco Schools and Workplaces.
Schools and departments hosting the sessions have taken the learning from last year’s Quest for Well-Being: A Collective Responsibility, as well as other learning through the year, and have made meaningful and creative connections to well-being in their respective roles and locations.

The goal of the Friday, Learning By Doing sessions, is to provide participants with the innovation, information, experiences and examples of how well-being can be integrated within our work and learning, and the outcomes that result when the needs of well-being are identified and addressed.

The Learning By Doing conference day has been included in your full conference or one day registration, and workshops will be available for selection in the coming months .

Stay tuned for more information on the Friday sessions and more details of the Learning By Doing day!
